Alexandra Dzhikaeva won the gold medal at the European Kickboxing Championship in Athens.

Estonian athlete Alexandra Dzhikaeva defeated Turkish fighter Setintas Zeynep (ranked 1st in the WAKO World Champions ranking) in the women's K1 final under 48 kg at the European Championship. In the quarterfinals, Dzhikaeva won 3-0 against Zorena Nikolich from Serbia and in the semifinals, she triumphed 3-0 over Kineso Olah from Austria (ranked 2nd in the WAKO World Champions ranking).
Dzhikaeva won the final match with a 3-0 score, securing her first European Championship title in her career. This achievement is the first European Championship title in adult kickboxing in Estonian history.
Inga Aleksandrova, competing for the Estonian national kickboxing team (in LC, KL-65 rules), took 3rd place and earned a bronze medal.
A total of athletes from 41 countries participated in the European Kickboxing Championship in Greece.
